Paddle or Pedal owner, Scott Roddy has been around the waters of Annapolis his whole life. In 2001, Scott began instructing and leading trips here in Quiet Waters Park for the previous owner at Amphibious Horizons. In 2006 he became an independent instructor and guide and continued working with the new company “Paddle or Pedal”. ACA (American Canoe Association) certified since 2003 in Kayaks and 2009 on Stand Up Paddleboards he has conducted tours and lessons for nearly two decades. With WAFA and River Front Life Guarding Certifications and the creation and ownership of Twisted Creek Paddlesports in 2013, Scott has continued his love of paddlesports and is able to offer Annapolis an outlet to appreciate his passion. Managing Paddle and Pedal as well over the past few season gave way to the opportunity to purchase the business and expand his offerings further to the community with multiple locations. As a father of two, a husband and a University of Maryland Graduate Scott wishes to bring his expertise and family values to the forefront to promote a positive experience and love for the water and all it encompasses.
